I live in a small settlement of about 2,000 people which is
referenced in the Domesday book. Yesterday a resident of the Village won a Gold
Medal at the London 2012 Olympics. As a result the village post box has been
painted Gold. This is just the sort of quirky thing that is typical of our
great country and we have one of only 23 (as of 7th
August) gold painted post boxes in the country, how cool is that....
