San Francisco

the last trip of a very busy schedule saw me in San Francisco at a conference where I was speaking. THis was my first trip to San Francisco since I was a Child and I was really looking forward to it.

The biggest industry in the city is tourism and there are an estimated 66,000 jobs created to service the tourists. There are a number of Iconic sights like the Cable Cars (USD5 per trip or USD13 for the day). The drivers seem to be on a good number, Eash journey takes about 20 minutes end to end and the drivers seem to make just over 1 journey per hour.

I had packd for "May grey" or "June gloom" but arrived in the middle of a heat wave with temperatures in the mid 30's Celcius. none the less I took the opertunity to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge it was fantastic... just like the bridge in Wii Sports resort !!!

Also in San Francisco is Alcatraz of which more later ....

and then for a random photograph, I saw this guy on three consecutive days cruising around town in this pimp mobile banging out James brown on the sound system.
